It's that time of year again already, isn't it? The season when every other day there is an excuse to throw a party until basically New Year's. Christmas parties. Fundraisers. Work parties. Family dinners. Dinner parties. All the parties... But, with all of the excuses to throw a party, come with invites and obligations to said parties. There is often one common denominator to all of these parties, too, that is no secret... Alcohol. There are countless reasons to choose not to drink but we, of course, had pregnancy in mind. Whether you are hosting a pregnant employee or you yourself are headed to an alcohol saturated dinner party, here are six basic yet delicious ideas to enjoy your night!
Cranberry Mimosas- Kitchen Fun With my 3 Sons gives a great spin on mimosas! They really add in that holiday effect with choosing cranberry flavor. Their recipe calls for champagne, but sparkling water would make the perfect NON ALCOHOLIC substitute. The ingredients are simple.
Cranberry Juice
Champagne (sparkling water)
Cranberries
Orange
Sugar
Candy Cane Crush- To really hit the spot with traditional candy cane consumption, PARENTS Magazine shares this tasty peppermint drink to enjoy. Put crushed candy canes on a saucer. Wet the outside of the rim of a chilled martini glass with water. Hold the glass by the stem and rotate to coat with candy. In a shaker, add all ingredients with ice and shake. Strain into glasses.
2 oz. strawberry soda or punch
4 dashes of white non-alcoholic crí¨me de menthe
2 ½ oz. cranberry juice

Dirty Dr. Pepper- The Bump gives us an excellent idea to take a soda and spice it up into a mocktail for any occasion! It's as easy as throwing a few ice cubes into your cup and adding a slice of lime. Pour in Dr. Pepper and add about 1 teaspoon of coconut syrup for every 1 cup of Dr. Pepper.

Preggo Punch- Who doesn't love the chance to have a good punch? Kitchenability gives us a delicious recipe for punch that everyone will fall in love with. All you do is combine all the liquids in a glass and mix well. Then, top with fresh blackberries and lime to serve.
½ cup raspberry flavored seltzer water
¼ cup wild cherry flavored seltzer water
1½ Tbsp mojito mix
Splash grenadine
Blackberries
Lime, sliced
Virgin Pina Colada- Just about everyone has either had something pina colada flavored or heard of pina coladas. Bellybelly shares an excellent twist on the classic pina colada. Simply mix the pineapple juice and coconut syrup together in a jug of crushed ice. Serve in a lowball glass with a chunk of pineapple to garnish.

1 cup coconut syrup
1 cup crushed ice

Snow Punch- Tis the season for some snow punch! The Cookie Rookie introduces us to this festive punch that will really get you into the winter spirit... I mean, it includes ice cream. This recipe has a few more steps to it. Put lemon juice, bananas and sugar in a blender, cover and mix until smooth. Add half-and-half, cover and blend until smooth. Cover and refrigerate up to 1 hour. Then, just before serving, pour lemon/banana mixture into a punch bowl. Stir in soda and top with scoops of ice cream. For aesthetic purposes, dip the rims of the glasses in corn syrup or vanilla icing then dip the coated rims in coconut.
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

¾ cup granulated sugar; superfine if possible
2 cups half-and-half
1 liter lemon-lime soda
½ gallon vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
